Modern contract models for complex infrastructure projects.
Complex construction projects require new forms of cooperation. Wayss & Freytag relies on innovative partnering models and sustainable contract models to realise projects efficiently, transparently and sustainably. Instead of traditional contract award structures, we focus on co-operation, joint responsibility and early coordination.
This results in solutions that are not only technically convincing, but also economically viable and on schedule. For connections, also in the context of co-operation.
Integrated Project Delivery
Achieving project success together with IPA
Integrated Project Delivery (German: IPA) stands for a new project culture: clients, planners and construction companies work together as an equal team right from the start. The aim is to share risks, make decisions transparently and minimise cost and deadline risks through early coordination. The IPA model offers decisive advantages, particularly for complex large-scale projects with high quality, time and budget requirements. The use of digital methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) supports process optimisation and promotes partnership-based communication at eye level.
“Partnerschaftsmodell Schiene”
Cooperative and future-orientated
The "Partnerschaftsmodell Schiene (Rail Project Partnering Model)" is becoming increasingly important in the field of railway construction. Developed in the Department of Construction Management and Construction Operations at the Technical University of Berlin and applied for the first time nationwide in Deutsche Bahn's "Neues Werk Cottbus" project, this model is based on close, early and trusting cooperation between all project participants. Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG is part of this pilot project and is contributing its experience in co-operative project management in a targeted manner. Through joint planning, open communication and coordinated decisions, risks can be recognised at an early stage and managed economically. An approach that is particularly convincing for complex infrastructure measures.
Public Private Partnership (PPP)
Experience from successful projects
Even if PPP projects are currently less of a focus for us, Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG has many years of experience in this area. One example is the A8 motorway between Augsburg and Munich, which was realised as part of a PPP model. As part of the consortium led by the Royal BAM Group, Wayss & Freytag played a key role in the planning, construction and operation of the motorway. In PPP projects, construction projects are privately financed, planned, built, operated and maintained - a complex task that requires a high degree of technical and economic expertise.
