As Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, we are part of the Zech Group, in which we specialise in civil engineering. The Zech Group is a company operating in Germany and beyond, specialising in construction, real estate and hotels, with a turnover of around €4.5 billion and more than 14,000 employees. As Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, we generate construction output of around € 900 million. We are primarily active in the German civil engineering market and the international tunnelling market and rely on motivated employees for whom responsible action and technically high-quality products are a matter of course. Ongoing training and further education measures ensure that these goals are realised. We work in accordance with the applicable standards for quality management and environmental protection and endeavour to achieve the highest possible occupational safety standards.

Organisational structure
With three regional divisions, we cover the entire market and ensure proximity to our customers:
The Northern Division, based in Hamburg and the Berlin office, serves customers in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony.
The Central Division, based in Düsseldorf, serves customers in North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Hesse.
The Southern Division, based in Munich and with offices in Passau and Stuttgart, serves customers in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia, Austria and Switzerland.
Regionally independent and wherever their expertise in technology and project management is required, these service areas play a central role:
Tunnelling Division: Supervises projects at home and abroad in mechanised tunnelling.
Building Preservation Division: Used wherever engineering and reinforced concrete structures need to be maintained or repaired.
Major Projects Division: Supports major projects in particular with specialised personnel.
Security and Network Infrastructure Division: implements projects in transport infrastructure and network expansion, as well as for the US government.
Our construction sites are supported by the central technical services:
Technical Design Office: Contributes our expertise at the interface between construction methods and structural design and provides planning services.
Construction Material Technology: Ensures the quality of the materials used and configures and tests building materials.
Plant and Equipment Services: Ensures that equipment is optimally equipped and maintained on time.

Digital Planning and Construction: Our Digital Construction team supports construction sites with digital methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) in conjunction with modern technology such as tablets, 3D scanning and VR glasses.
Lean Construction: The Lean Team supports the efficient running of our projects along the entire value chain.
Quality and Process Management: This ensures our process and product quality.
