Fehmarn Sound Tunnel: The contract has been signed
An important step has been taken for the German rail connection to the Fehmarn Belt fixed link on 21 November 2025, the contract for the construction of the Fehmarn Sound Tunnel was ceremoniously signed at the Kallmorgen Tower in Hamburg.
The project relies on an alliance of construction companies and project developers. The early involvement of the construction companies in the planning phase will ensure an efficient and cooperative transition to the construction phase. DB InfraGO and DEGES are the project developers for the combined rail and road tunnel. We are responsible for the immersed tunnel (VP 3) and look forward to working with our alliance partners.
