Autobahn GmbH des Bundes has commissioned our South Division at the Munich site with the replacement construction of the bridge structures BW 5a and BW 6 on the A9 federal motorway.
The replacement construction of the two bridges is one of a total of nine individual measures that are being carried out as part of the fundamental renovation between Stammham and the Holledau motorway junction. The refurbishment measures are a key element in maintaining the existing infrastructure in Bavaria and making it fit for the future. The 6-lane federal motorway A9 Nuremberg - Munich is a central traffic artery and represents the most important north-south axis in Bavaria for national and regional road traffic.
The contract volume includes the execution planning, the complete demolition of the existing bridges, the new construction of the two bridges, the earthworks and shoring work, the construction of a noise barrier and the new construction of the crossing municipal road. The new bridges will be constructed as monolithic frame structures (integral construction method) in a single casting (abutment + superstructure). The construction period is 15 months in total and will be realised in two construction phases.
