Ground-breaking ceremony for second hall in Cottbus

Another milestone was reached yesterday in the construction of the largest and most modern ICE maintenance workshop in Cottbus with the ground-breaking ceremony for the second hall. The maintenance centre is scheduled to go into operation in 2026. Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau is a partner in the realisation of the project, which has already brought good results with the "rail partnership model". After a construction period of less than 20 months, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz approved the first hall for commissioning in January. Numerous media reported on the ground-breaking ceremony for the second large hall.
