Pipe Jacking under Leipzig Main Station

During the construction of the Leipzig City Tunnel in the shopping centre under the station concourse of Leipzig Main station it was not possible to carry out any works from above ground. Therefore, two pilot tunnels were driven by pipe jacking so that vertical freezing bulkheads could be built.
