Technical specifications

The Bayerischer Hof Hotel (5+ stars) is situated in the heart of Munich at Promenadenplatz. The extensive rebuilding and redevelopment works were carried out in the corridors of upper floors 1 to 5 as well as in the rooms in the upper floors 5 and 6. For each of the individual construction sections contracts for both demolition and construction works were awarded.

Furthermore, screeding, interior wall finish and external rendering as well as fire protection rendering were also carried out. Within the individual construction sections, the complete rehabilitation of the existing hotel corridors was carried out. The corridors were completely gutted or demolished. After the HVACR and information technology, including sprinkler system, had been renewed, the hotel corridors were modernized and reconstructed according to state-of-the-art standards with regard to fire and noise protection. In some parts, the ceilings had to be strengthened by shotcrete for static and fire protection reasons. In the course of redevelopment and remodelling of the hotel rooms, some of the old rooms were enlarged (two rooms were turned into one). The bathrooms and halls were completely renewed. The ceilings were strengthened and protected against fire. The walls were rendered and a new screed with impact sound insulation applied. In some sections the wood joist ceilings were strengthened or reinforced and newly built. The work was carried out during hotel operation. Noise- reduced and low-vibration construction methods were used. Some of the works were carried out in two shifts.
