16.2 km long railway section connects both halves of the city of Antwerp on the banks of the River Schelde and creates a new railway line under the river for more than 100 trains per day.
The 3.1 km long Oenzberg tunnel is part of the new Mattstetten-Rothrist railway line in Switzerland. This railway line improves the connection between Bern and Olten.
Tunnel for a gas pipeline under Scruwaddacon Bay, Ireland was awarded the prize for best environmental initiative 2015 during the Tunnelling Awards at the International Tunelling Association.
