The U6 underground line connects the district of Möhringen with the industrial area “Am Schelmenwasen”. The double-track underground railway tunnel crosses below the industrial area „Fasanenhof”.
The approx. 2 km long „Stafelter Berg“ Tunnel, north of Luxembourg city is part of the new motorway section of ‚Route du Nord‘ and consists of two double-lane tubes. The tunnel drive was carried out conventionally and with the drill and blast method.
During the construction of the Vienna underground line 2 extensive dewatering works with approx. 270 wells and approx. six million pumping hours were required. An electronic monitoring and control system made the measure safe.
