Conrad-Freytag Award Ceremony

Dr.-Eng. Michael Blaschko, Board Member of Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, presented the Conrad Freytag Award to the year’s two best graduates of the civil engineering degree course at the Technical University (TU) of Kaiserslautern on the occasion of the civil engineering faculty’s annual academic celebration in Kaiserslautern on November 11, 2016. The award winner, Rabea Sefrin, achieved the final grade of 1.2. Rabea Sefrin wrote the first master thesis in the civil engineering faculty in the field of steel construction under Prof. Dr.-Eng. Wolfgang Kurz on the subject of „Modelling and numeric simulation of concrete dowel rails“. The thesis received the best possible grade of 1.0. The Conrad Freytag Award was donated by Wayss & Freytag in 1996 and has since been awarded to 24 candidates. It is awarded by Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau in close cooperation with TU Kaiserslautern for outstanding course achievement in conjunction with prize money amounting to € 2,000.
